Sweepstakes 2008: Day Two
Apr 19, 2008 7:03 pm | by Daniel Schultz

Crowds met with clear skies and sunny weather as they watched the sweepstakes finalists compete in a second day of buggy races. Levels of excitement started off even higher than usual as a result of yesterday's record breaking run by SDC Men A's Psychosis. No buggies lost their parts this time but thanks to the freshly paved roads and incredibly well trained teams today's runs set records once again.

SDC A took the crown in women's races with a time of 2:28:84, PiKA A placed second with a time of 2:36:33, and Fringe A scored 3rd with a time of 2:37:28.

In Men's races it looks like PiKA will stay champion. It cannot, however, be said that they were unrivaled – SDC came in a thrillingly close second. PiKA A had a winning time of 02:04:35 and SDC A clocked at 02:04:50.  Fringe A pulled in 3rd place with a time of 2:08:54
